4.2 Intolerance

In this lesson I learned how toxic tolerance really is. Before reading the articles I thought that tolerance was not that big of a deal, I never really saw it as a “us-them” relationship; however, after reading the articles I realize how dangerous and bad it really is. “Tolerating” religion is not what America say’s its based in, if there was truly freedom of religion everyone would be treated the same for their beliefs. No individual would be seen as bad for following a certain religion. Because of the term “tolerance” there is a form of hate and discrimination created, that is why I believe that in order for America to proceed and accept every religion as equal tolerance should not be the way to go with.
